Too Much Time On My Hands

What day is it? Is it Thursday? Is it Friday? Is it Saturday? Who knows? One day is a just like the next. I get up, I take my meds, I eat breakfast, spend some time on the laptop, watch some boring TV, eat lunch, watch some more boring TV, get back on the lap top, eat supper, watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, then a couple of old movies, take my meds again, then go to bed. I'm going stir-crazy!

You've just described my day perfectly! The only day it changes is Friday when a weekly trip to Wal*Mart comes along.

And yes it is boring....

Hope your doing OK,
Stephanie

Oh dear! I suppose this has to go on for as long as it takes, Melissa?

There's nothing worse than boredom, and that's why sensible people always want to stay out of prison.

Presumably you can't escape back to your own home yet? Would you make the effort, if it was a serious possibility?

Sorry to hear how boring life is right now. Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy are always good. You might try the History channel, or National Geographic.

Can you go for walks? Maybe a little lite exercise will help with the boredom. I know...take up model building...cars, aircraft, The Visible Man, HEHE.

Melissa, I'm praying very hard for you and your doctor(s), just like I'm doing for my brother. They've finally gotten around to doing a biopsy so they can diagnose what kind of cancer he has. He has lost a lot of weight and is getting weaker all the time. Hopefully we will get some answers this coming week.

Anyway, many Blessings, Hugs, and prayers coming your way.

Stephanie said, "You've just described by day perfectly."

Suzi says, "You've just described my perfect day." LOL.

Take up crossword puzzles. I became really good at them years ago, but have not worked with them lately. I found the mental stimulation very helpful during those times when work was slow and I spent a lot of time at home waiting for the next job to start. Things like logic problems are great. I play a lot of FreeCell these days. Untangling playing cards can be challenging at times as I struggle to maintain an 86% average...lol.

Got any pets? They make great companions.

Get well dear. Hugs, Suzi

I have always experienced boredom as an opportunity to create space for something new, something creative and fulfilling. I am sure when the time comes you will cherish this space for yourself. Get better - getting better takes time and cannot be rushed.

Just keep thinking positive, girl! Sounds like you still have your sense of humor.

Then, when you get back to the house, take some pictures of that beautiful countryside around you for the blog.
