Home Laser Hair Removal, Boon or Boondoggle?

I was reading my email this morning, when I came across an ad for Silk'n SensEpil home laser hair removal system (right picture). You can see it at this url : http://www.skinstore.com/p-10105-silkn-sensepil.aspx. Sorry but you'll have to copy and past the link into your browser's address bar, because I still haven't figure my way around this Byzantine system.

Has anyone had any experience with this device, or is it just another scam, like the radio frequency home electrolysis kits (left picture) that proved to be totally worthless? The ad says that results are comprable to professional laser hair removal, but I have my doubts that anything safe enough to be used at home, would have the power to be as effective as a professional device.

The top picture is the RF electrolysis kit, and the bottom picture is the Silk'n SensEpil home laser device. Sorry for the mistake in the original post. I'm still trying to get used to how this system formats picture and links.

When I see mail order items and wonder if they would work, I give them the Wal*Mart test. ..."If it isn't sold at Wal*Mart, it must not work."... Even things with marginal value are sold at Wal*Mart!

You managed to get an image to come up in google reader! How did you do that?

Hair zapping email on way, too long to post.

Stephanie, you're probably right. I especially don't trust a lot of stuff you see advertised, that says, "Not sold in stores"

Caroline, when I start a blog, I get a format, similar to what you get in MS Word. It has some icons along the top border, one of which is for inserting images. I right click on the web image I want to put in my blog, then I choose "copy image location" (this is for Macs only, not PC's) Then I click on the image icon, and get a box to paste the image url in. Then I just paste the image location in that box.

Thanks, must try harder! My last post was to be words interspersed with images, images did not go where I wanted, bit like life, no really good handbook supplied.
