I'm Sorry That I Had To Block You

I blocked a follower for the first time today. This truly pains me. I didn't like having to do that and I apologize to them for it, but I don't want this blog to become associated with sexual fetishes. This person is a cross dresser, but looking at their picture and profile, it was clear that they were primarily interested in a particular sexual fetish. That's fine and I have nothing against that at all if that's what they like, but that's not what this blog is all about. This blog is simply about the every day aspects of being transgendered, and trying to find acceptance for myself and others like me. If this person would like to create an alternate profile, with a new profile picture that does not depict their particular fetish, and has no links to other fetish blogs and fetish websites, then I will gladly welcome them back.

Once again, I apologize to you. This has nothing to do with the fact that you are a cross dresser, only that I don't want my blog associated with fetishes. I would have dealt with this in a personal email, but your profile had no email address.

You're not alone there.

Blocked a couple myself, Melissa.....

I'm with you on this. Being a woman is not about fulfilling some sexual kink. Not that I'm a sexual prude because I've certainly had my share of kinky trysts.

Autogynophilia may be why some enjoy being women but it's not my reason for being one. Some of the outfits these fetishists wear make them look absolutely ridiculous. Do they really think they look sexy. Gag!

I do not see any need to apologize at all, you're being too sweet. Blogs like ours are too personal and focused. For me anyway, I do not want something in there that is going to detract from being able to get my thoughts out.

@ Sophie

The person in question was very gracious to me in their reply to my last blog. I don't think there was any intention on there part to be a distraction. I don't like to be mean to people, especially when they have been nothing but nice to me. I just think they need to create a more mainstream profile, well, as mainstream as someone who is transgendered can get, and leave the fetish stuff strictly for the fetish sites.

Don't feel bad about this, visible followers are your supporters and often the way that a visitor will explore further in this world of ours.

Most of us post about our sense of self and being and while there may be hints of sexuality that is certainly not what our blogs are about.

The tone of the comment was totally at odds to the profile of the poster who if they are interested in our circle certainly needs to present in a different manner and keep their other life to another circle where they are sure to find those interested in that kind of blog.

You are just too appealing so you are attracting attention, be dull and boring and beige like me and you will be left alone.

Not an easy choice, but if their profile pic is sitting on your blog, then it reflects on you. I haven't had to do that yet, but I did have to cut off someone that I really liked in my Yahoo 360 days. I wrote her an apology, and she understood, but I hated doing it.

Now that I know that you mean business, I'll be sure to keep it clean.

Oh, the irony. Less than a day after the above comment, I got a new follower whose profile pic is a male chastity device. Same dilemma, same decision. Blocked without an apology. I suspect he enjoys being mistreated anyway.
