Want To Hear What Saturn's Rings Sound Like?

This is so cool! And by the way, if you have never looked at Jupiter or Saturn through a decent home telescope, you don't know what you are missing! Little pinpoints of light by the naked eye, are transformed into bright planets sitting out there in the black void, with their little star like moons flanking them!

Wow, that sounds so spooky.

Any idea what magnification you need in order to see the planets clearly? (Though in Holland I think that there is rather too much light polution to see clearly anyway :( )

Stace,

I just used a cheap 4" reflector telescope from Walmart. Can't remember what magnification. I do live 45 miles outside of Richmond though, so I don't have to worry much about light pollution. Getting away from city lights helps a great deal.

I feel like I know what inspired Pink Floyd's Umma Gumma album now. Getting a bit of a contact high just visiting your page, Melissa.
