Does Beautiful Music Make You Weep?

It does me. The voice of Luciano Pavarotti always made me cry. He sang just like an angel. The music of Dvořák does it to me too. Here is one I can never listen to without shedding tears, a little taste of Symphony No. 9 "From The New World". Grab a tissue, close your eyes and enjoy! By the way, that's the Wiener Philharmoniker, Herbert von Karajan, conducting.

Yes, music often makes me cry.. Felicia Weathers, Soprano Vienna Opera.. sings on "Puccini Weekend" several arias.. she has the most incredable voice I have ever heard.. look for it, I think you will enjoy her voice..

Yes it can do. The two that normally get me wet eye'd are 'Air on a G String', and 'Moonlight Sonata'.

I'm sitting at the window in Quebec, Canada.
Breathtaking indeed. Today I would name this 'Caress of the snowflakes'.
Thank you - I should start all my days on this note.

I am listening to part II of the concert. I do love Dvorak's New Word, as I also love Brahms music.

There is some pieces of music that has so much emotional angst with it that I tear up. Whenever we sing the "Navy Hymn" "Eternal Father, Strong to save." in church it takes me half of the hymn to compose myself enough to be able to sing. It has always had so much emotional pull for me, that I am crying now as I think and remember the hymn.
